NWR appoints Head of Sales and Marketing

Mr. Dormann (51) has 20 years experience in coal marketing and trading, and joins the Company from Freepoint Commodities Europe LLP, where he was Senior Physical Coal Trader in charge of marketing and origination of thermal and coking coal, with a focus on the Atlantic market.

As Head of Sales and Marketing, Mr. Dormann will lead the NWR sales team and will hold key responsibilities in the delivery of the Company's strategic goal of becoming Europe's leading miner and marketer of coking coal by 2017, serving as a one-stop shop for European steel companies.

He brings a great deal of experience in and knowledge of the European and Atlantic coal trading markets, and he will play a lead role in developing our existing customer relationships and capturing new market opportunities."

Prior to joining Freeport Commodities, Mr. Dormann was Director of International & Continental European Marketing at RWE Supply & Trading GmbH, and before that he held various senior coal buying, trading and sales positions with RAG Verkauf GmbH and RAG Trading GmbH of Germany.

Mr. Dormann holds a Masters degree in mining engineering from the Technical University Clausthal in Germany, and a Doctorate in mineral economics from the Norwegian University of Technology in Trondheim. Married with two children, Mr. Dormann is a native German speaker and is fluent in English and Norwegian.
