Certification of R&D and Cloud-Computing Centers in York, London, San Diego, Malaga, Milan and Sydney Demonstrate KIT digital's Commitment to Deliver Market's Leading, Industrial-Grade Video Solutions

LONDON, Dec 08, 2011 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- KIT digital, Inc. (NASDAQ: KITD), a premium cloud-based software solutions and technology services provider for multiscreen video management and delivery, has received three International Organization for Standardization (ISO) accreditations for regional R&D and data centers around the world, as well as Federation Against Copyright Theft (FACT) certification in the UK through 2012.

These certifications represent that KIT digital's tier 1 R&D and data centers on three continents meet the strict requirements for Information Security Management, IT Service Management and Quality Management. These facilities directly support the KIT Operations Manager, an operational support system providing integrated Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service management, security, and quality assurance to the two editions of the company's KIT Video Platform: KIT Cloud and KIT Cosmos.

"Major media companies and network operators are seeing customers migrate from traditional broadcast to IP-based systems that allow them to deliver a variety of multiscreen, interactive video experiences," said Alex Blum, chief operating officer of KIT digital. "KIT stands at the forefront of this evolution, with global infrastructure serving traditional, hybrid and private cloud deployments."

"To maintain KIT's leadership position, our customers must be guaranteed that our solutions and services are 'industrial-grade,' and will deliver truly broadcast-quality experience and performance levels. ISO certifications are a critical part of this effort; they demonstrate KIT has the expertise, processes and infrastructure to deliver the largest scale over-the-top video deployments in the world."

KIT digital received new ISO certifications around the following business areas:

ISO 20000:2005 - The planning, deployment and provision of Managed Services and IT infrastructure services to internal and external customers worldwide;

ISO 9001:2008 - The design, development, delivery and support of software products (KIT Operations Manager, KIT Cloud and KIT Cosmos) and Managed Services to internal and external customers worldwide;

ISO/IEC 27001:2005 - The design, development and provision of Information Communications Technology services, including remote access and storage; and

FACT Certification - Awarded for attaining the required security standards as approved by the Federation Against Copyright Theft on behalf of its member companies.

KIT's Milan R&D center is certified under ISO 9001:2008, while its centers in York, London, San Diego, Malaga and Sydney received all four of these accreditations.

Andrew Coyle, lead auditor for SGS, UK, commented: "KIT digital is one of only a few organizations that has been certified as compliant with all three certifications: ISO ISO27001, ISO20000 and ISO9001, and to earn this recognition across five centers worldwide is a major achievement. KIT digital now offers its customers and partners an enhanced level of accountability and transparency that is well deserved."

ISO accreditation positions KIT digital amongst the world's leading technology businesses and underscores its position in the Leaders category in the IDC Market Analysis: Worldwide Online Video Platform 2011 - 2015 Forecast in November 2011. KIT digital's selection as leader within the online video platform market was based on the company's offering of a diverse set of IP video software and solutions that caters to a number of industry sectors, and for its rapid growth globally.
